My new rims are stupid!

UPS dropped off my new rims, but since my car got inspected through 7/07 they're gonna look really nice in my basement for the time being. I myself have never seen a 2-pc before, pretty sweet. The valve stem goes parallel to the road and then takes a turn into the center of the wheel, not sure what happens if someone tries to steal it like on my current rims. The basket is made by ASA. If anyone is in the market, I strongly suggest you consider these Shuk W21's, 18x8, they are dope @$119 each. 22.5 lbs, and although my rims are supposed to be satin, they seem a bit chromey. I hope that doesn't present a problem if I'm dippin' through South Central.....

I'll post some pics but you can take a look on the website for now.....

*lol* I'm older than you, I just don't act my age nor becoming of my occupation. I just hate having to deal with clients and drafting documents with perfect English 24/7......kickin' a dope rhyme is my way of feeling young again...

Well, right now I have 18x8's, with 1 bent rim on the car. I thought that my tires were not good enough to pass inspection, so I had two problems--tires worn out, but one bent rim meaning they can't mount a new tire on it (so I think as it leaks). I thought I would need new tires to pass inspection--I was tempted to just get 215/55-16's and put the star rims back on, but when I saw the W21's for $119, I figured what the heck, get a 2nd set of 18's.

When my current 18's are really shot, then I'll put these on, and send the bent rim out for repair.....I love drama as does TNT!

They've ALWAYS inspected for tire wear at inspection.. usually they don't give you much hassle over it if you've got tread, and many times they don't check.... but it's on the list of required checks in every state.

Them wheels are nice looking. Hopefully if I get a Maxima one of my first mods will be some aftermarket rims.

Still working on 15 posts to post my question thread. Man this sucks :P

Here in Cali the only thing checked is emission related. Never heard of any tire/body checks

I don't have any kind of inspection. I just send my 54 bucks in every two years and they send me new stickers.

there are a lot of crappy rigs out here that shouldn't even be on the road, though
