Since most people don't go in the autocross section here, thought you might be interested to see what some maximas can do on the course.....

me at Bowie Baysox Stadium, July 1st (no music, 'real sound')...red x is there, but link still works...

Taking a look at the trailored E36 M3 there, I doubt any of the maxes were the top time. But how did you guys do, irish?

Actually, the trailered E36 at Ripken blew something up and had to be pushed back to the trailer. I think he broke his differential.

At Ripken, I took 3rd in DSP Class, Gabe took 4th...behind Civic hatches...

At CDC, it's a non-classed but indexed event so we have to wait to see where we finished once results are posted. I'd guess me and Gabe finished middle of the overall pack, based on the times I was hearing.

Of all the 7-8 local Maximas that have made it out to autocross, I can't think of ANY 4th gens that have come. Maybe it's because, in terms of autocross, 4th gens are big and heavy like 5th gens, but have quite a bit less power unless heavily modded. 3rd gens are much better for autocross...lighter, smaller, IRS.

On second thought, Paul (Requin6) and his S/C'd 4th gen did come out to an event last year......

i think it's really cool that you guys continue to show up and race and put down great times! most are probably surprised at how a family sedan keeps up and even beats a lot of the others.
