im gonna be trading my h&r springs for eibach springs soon hopefully. I just wanted to confirm with you guys that the eibachs WILL drop the max lower with tokico blues than the h&r with tokicos. Im looking for my car max to sit lower than it already is with the h&r's.

Please post if you can help! thanks

H&R = 1.5f/1.4r
Eibach = 1.5f/1.5r

you are making one of the biggest mistakes of your life..

wait till you take those Eibachs on NYC roads.. you are going to be begging for your H&R's back

the h&r are really no different than the eibach when goin over bumps. Ive been in max's with both, i couldnt tell a difference.

Ill never get Intrax(way too low) or sprints uneven drop(hot rod style)lol!

The dampers don't have anything to do with ride height.

Eibach and H&R are about the same drop. The Eibachs have a higher spring rate and will be stiffer, while offering you less body roll. the H&R's will offer increased ride comfort over the Eibachs. The Sprint and Intrax offer a more appealing drop, but generally the metal they use isn't as consistent as Eibach and H&R. Thus, you might get an uneven drop, and the springs will begin to sag after a while. However, I have not heard too many stories of Sprint's on Maximas that are settling inconsistently.

I personally don't think any of these springs get the car low enough. I saw go with coilovers or get out the saw and chop up them H&R's. Also, ST's are good because the front springs are linear (not progressive) so when you cut them the spring rate isn't affected. The back is progressive so it is affected in the rear.

I did not mean to say Eibachs were harsh.. for god sakes i have sprint springs on my maxima.. that would be the pot calling the kettle black.. what i am saying is.. if you are going from H&R's to Eibachs.. you are going to notice a difference on NYC roads.. i don't know about the 5th Gens.. but you will feel the diff with the 4th Gen..

and as far as Anthony you riding in someones car eveyr now and then with Eibachs its a tottaly different story from everyday life

Ant has been in my car with Eibachs and stock shocks and they are fine around NYC. Yeah a bit stiff, but lol owning a S4 on bilstein coilovers. I can live with a Maxima on Eibachs. H&R drop the car unevenly compared to Eibach equipped cars. Intrax aren't that bad. Ant if you thinkin about Mike(s) car, Tank and TP's, they cut a coil off their springs 2.5"+ drop. George has weapon-r's so he has control, PJ getting Ground Controls, and plans for his car.
Ant, come to a club meeting, I'll show you something new PJ and I discovered while doing some research before you buy Eibachs.

-Peace

The number of coils does affect spring rate.
