cooled seats?

Do any nissan's have these? If you look on the company's web page, it shows the infinit m and q have them (or will?). does anyone know for sure? It's not as hot outside now, but I was annoyed this summer when my back was sweating, while my front was cold.

imho If you have perferated seats in your car, then you can do this yourself with some time and effort and electrical knowledge. Things you'd need would be 2 decent sized fans (one for driver one for passenger) wire it all up, throw some switches somewhere, and you have your self some a**-chillers!

some Benzes have had those for years.. its a really cool option. Try to see what the setup is on a car that has seat coolers OEM and replicate it.

Do you know which benzes have it? I don't know how hard it will be to replicate. It sounds like it would be hard to create channels in the foam without compromising the structural qualities.
If Infinit has one in a production car, it would probably be easier to buy the driver's seat and replace mine (I really don't care about the passengers, it's usually just me).

I think that these ass-chillers are fanless, or at least noiseless. I do recall a sort of electrical device in which if current is run through it one way, it heats up, and the opposite way, it cools down. I think it's an actual cooling device and not just a ventilation device.

It's easy to do. You can put them in any car with perf ltr. Katzkin offers it with all there seats. It's just a couple of little fans under the cusions. I have seen as much as six fans a seat. I do think it's a little loud though.

Just extend the coolant pipes from the condenser to run through your seat.

Those are called peltier devices.

Just remember, when it gets hot on the opposing side, it must be cooled via one means or another or it will overheat.

Yes, i've noticed that the m's and q's have them

http://www.infiniti.com/m/standard_features.html

if you want to know how the peltier in the seats work, look at my first post at the top

anyone know if the m and q seats are direct replacements in the 5.5 maxima, and how much the driver seat would cost? I'll probably call an infiniti dealer this week and find out.
