Hey, I have to pick a clutch and order it like in the next 2 days because I'm getting my new tranny and flywheel put in next week, and I need to have the clutch to do at the same time. I can't decide primarily between the Centerforce Dual Friction and the Clutchmasters Stage 3 Carbon/Kevlar one. The ACT is too backordered for me. Please help me out...I need suggestions.

Here's what I heard: Some people have had problems with the Clutchmaster, but I've never directly talked to anyone who had this problem. I also heard the CenterForce one wears out quickly.

Thanks guys.

Centerforce Sucks!!!!!!
It has a real bad feel to it and it slips real bad.

ACT holds like there is no tomarrow and has a small 200-300 mile break in period. My ACT Clutch has a little chatering problem though but it may be contributed to my oil leak.

Clutch Master? I have not tried one but I have only heard positive feed back on it.

If I were you I whould choose between ACT and Clutchmaster{AKA Jim Wolf}

I am sure of it.
Cattman sells the Clutch Master too but lists it as JWT.

OK then....Thanks alot Emax. I'll give the Stage 3 clutch a go. We'll see how it holds up to my I30 tranny, and Alum flywheel.

BTW, you got AIM or something like that. I like to keep in touch with peeps, if I got a question or something. If you dont want it public, you can PM me. Thanks again.

not only will a stage 3 clutch hold up to your tranny....it will rip it apart....you need a beefed up transmission to run a stage 3 clutch....I have the ACT HDMM....and I can tell that it works my tranny harder....and that is only the equivilent to a "stage I" clutch.....wait and get the ACT...and then get your tranny and flywheel all put in at the same time....you'll regret it if you don't.

Why do you think it would rip it apart? I heard the I30 trannys were a little more beefed up than the maxima ones anyways. Either way, if it blows, I know a local guys who said he'd rebuild it to any spec I want and with beefier parts.

Thanks for the input.

Like I said before I don't know much about Clutch masters Clutches but I do recall being interested in there Stage II setup. Just find a C. Master Clutch that can hold about 325+HP and 300+Lb's of TQ and you will be all set. I know Clutches like ACT 4 Puck and 6 Puck have a reputation for race only applications and offer a bad ride and have a way of destroying your tranny.

I don't have a AIM so feel free to PM me or email me whenever and I'll get back to you.

Ok...Thanks. BTW the difference b/w Stage II and Stage III is just holding pressure, and a small difference in the disc.
