Oh, and just to let you GXE lova's know.

There will be NO manual transmission in the 2002 GXE Maxima. Manual tranny only in the SE.

It's funny but when I bought my Max, I know what I didn't want in my car which was leather(too hot in the summer and to cold in the winter), a sunroof(less things to go wrong) and I didn't care much about the wing. I had foglights already waiting for my "new ride to be". This why I ended up with a GXE opposed to a GLE or a SE. I lucked out with the C&C Package which I knew nothing about but I liked the features the car came with because it had just about everything most European cars had at a much lower price.

If I go for another Max, I will go with an SE with Bose and all(stick too).

These guys act like the difference between the autos and the manuals is like Corvette against a Yugo. You guys kill me. Manuals can be beaten by Autos too. No doubt!

I hate to say this again, Canadian SE comes with STD and leather standard. Even a guy from Canada on this forum has the info in his sig.

I'm with you and Lordrandall.

Try crawling along the 495 DC beltway in rush-hour...you foot would fall off from all the clutch-action: starting, stopping, starting, stopping (need I go on???)
I've done it before, that's why an auto.
AND besides, It's a hell of a lot easier to drive and eat as well...or talk on the phone...or beat the misbehaving kids in the back seat...or mess w/ the lovely passenger next to you...

And far as my GXE(-L) goes, it's the ultimate "plain-jane" sleeper.

Also, I am in a different boat than most people. I was a Bus/Limo/Sedan Driver from 1995 to 1999. It's time for me to relax. I do think sticks are cool to drive.

I remember when one of my boys out in San Jose just bought his Integra in 95. It was a stick and I was wingin' it all through the mountain roads. It was a good experience. Felt like I was on a car commercial.

I think you have me confused with someone who like Automatics.

I live in Los Angeles, traffic? Yeah, we got it. And I hope you're kidding about all your driving activities.

I'm looking at it from a purely aggressive driving style. ie.
- automatics tend to run close to accord v6s (that's bad in my eyes)
- drag racing one isn't fun. Powerbrake to appropiate RPM, then let off the gas...
- Road racing one is even LESS fun.
- Being able to heel-and-toe around a corner...
- For the BOV guys, being able to shift in someone's ear as you pass them by...
- Burnouts are easy
- Women love manuals (well, that's what my female friend said)
- How many automatics get to hear the rev limiter (whether by mistake or by accident)??
- You have more excuses when you lose a drag race (i missed a gear, clutch is worn, etc)
- Cheaper to repair

there's more, i just can't think of the rest...

Funk dat

I have an auto GLE and I love it. I would only get a manual again if I had a 2nd car b/c the manual was fun to drive. And I don't care how fast I can or can't run a 1/4 mile b/c I have never dragged and will never drag. The stock auto is plenty fast. Right now I'm going for looks and casting speed to the side. Maybe my thoughts will change later down the road.

I agree

I'd love to have a manual as a second car, but I'm too lazy to have a manual daily driver.

only a few poats until I loose my newbie status

Plus who says women like cars with sticks? I know a lot of women that like some cars because they are fast.

I never heard of the phrase "Manual cars and Fast women". It's more like "Fast cars and Fast women"
