Meineke's Auto Tranny Flush

Hi all,

I was hoping someone could provide some feedback or some input on Meineke's advertised auto tranny flush "special". It's about $100 for the job but when I asked them about the procedure they use some machine to completely pump out the old tranny oil before replacing.

They do not drop the pan.

Has anyone had this done by Meineke?

And what is the disadvantage of them not dropping the pan?

Thanks in advance!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe any of these quick lube places will drop your pan, all they do is hook up some machine and flush out the oil fluid while adding new. That's it! If you want your pan dropped and cleaned, you gotta pay extra, and make sure you're there watching them, otherwise who knows if they really did it.

Disadvantage of not dropping the pan, is you can not get to your magnets to clean off the junk, even at approx. 32k, there was quite a bit of it.
