Found this hiding in my garage...

I dug this Analog Ohmmeter, looks brand new.

Anyways, im planning on checking my knock sensor's worthiness.

How would one use this puppy? Has alot of settings, dials, and sockets.

I'm not even sure if it works, how could i test it?

easy to test an ohm meter. the place you plug them in: black goes to the ground (com) and red goes the the one with an oh symbol(the one with three symbols and no DC around it) before you test to see if it works, you have to move the dial from off to one of the ohm settings (looks like 5 of them, they say RX ___ and you just have to find which one gives the best answer) then to test just touch the red and black together

I touched them together, nothing happened.

Any other way to test?

Almost looks like a 1st generation RadioShack multi-meter. Cool find. Wonder if it's worth anything on ebay.

Sucks about your knock sensor. Did you replace it?

No, didnt replace it. I just read about losing low-end power when it dies.

I did remove it to clean the contact point to the engine block, but im not sure if i tightened it enough. I heard it had to be "just" right enough to work properly.

So i guess ill tighten it a lil bit more, see if it improves.

Oh yea, ohmmeter is dead. Doesnt move for anything.

Thanks
