How do I get the rear brake calipers off the disc?

Actually you can remove the brake line bracket on the trailing arm and that will give you a little extra working room rather than 'bang on the caliper'... I remember that you need to do that on one side.. the other was able to be removed without doing that though...
Good luck!

Do I just unscrew the two screws behind the caliper and then bang it off?

I am installing the rear lowering springs. I have everything unbolted aned ready to come off but there is the line connected to the back of the rotor set up and with that the strut will not come off. Is that the ABS sensor? How do I disconect it?
