How do I get the rear brake calipers off the disc?

Do I just unscrew the two screws behind the caliper and then bang it off?

Actually you can remove the brake line bracket on the trailing arm and that will give you a little extra working room rather than 'bang on the caliper'... I remember that you need to do that on one side.. the other was able to be removed without doing that though...

two bolts to get the caliper to raise and let the pads out....4 bolts to take the hole caliper off to remove the rotor...

no biggie...and yes i agree...no need to "bang" the caliper off...it should come off on its own...

I am installing the rear lowering springs. I have everything unbolted aned ready to come off but there is the line connected to the back of the rotor set up and with that the strut will not come off. Is that the ABS sensor? How do I disconect it?

the only line i can think of is the brake line and it's held onto the strut with a metal clip...you should be able to slide the clip off with a screwdriver...
