Car Stolen-----DOH!!

Hey guys so my car got stolen from outside of where I work, and I work in a Mall...the worst part about this all is that it happened like 3 hrs after I had driven the car....so my wifes stuff was in there like her purse and her school bag, and all her books....Well as wierd as it is I get the car back maybe 4 days later...They find it...do you know where they find it...3 blocks away from where they stole it.....oh and did I mention that it had half a tank of gas in it when they stole it, and I got it back with the same amount in it.....Unfortunately my sound system was gone and so was the wifes stuff...oh and they even took the ac vents....why????? I don't know....but I just found out that I did have full coverage on the car...so now I get to make a claim and hoopefully get some money for the damage to the car and the lost stuff inside....I got the car back and no bodily damage so i am back to modding it...however I feel violated...does anyone know what I mean??

I had my car broken into before. Actually it wasn't broken in to. I left the door unlocked while I went to get a cup of coffee from starbucks. It was 6 in the morning. I'm 110% sure I walked right past the guy who did it. He took my gym bag that had gym clothes (obviously), a new pair of nikes, a MP3 player and my watch inside. The only reason I knew someone had "broken in" was because my sweater was lying on the ground outside. I picked it up thinking I dragged it out accidentally. Then I thought, no it was in the back seat. I open the back door and my bags gone. I instantly remember the guy I walked past as I went to get coffee. He was gone.

The point? I know exactly how you feel when you say violated. I've never had that feeling before until that moment. Completely normal and justified. Thieves are biitches

I had someone break the window of my last car... If I would've found them within 2 hours after they did it, I would've been in jail for (justified) assault...

sorry bout the loss....but at least u got da car back in 1 piece. look on the bright side....it definitely couldve been worse.
if u dont have a car alarm with a kill switch....think about investing in one.

out of curiousity...how did they manage to enter your car?
and when they did enter it....what damage/route did they utilize to get ur car started?

Nothing weird about that. Married at 20, and going on 8 years. Like the man said, when you find the right person, you jump on it.

Actually I'm not sure...cuz my wife had drove it with me right before it got stolen, she dropped me off at work and then parked it, and I went in...she said she pushed the arlarm button to lock it, but we aren't sure wheather it actually locked. Plus she had her purse in the car and that had her set of keys in it, cuz she was using my keys since I was with her....so it is still a mystery since there was no damage to the outside lock or to the ignition switch...but since I have gotten it back...when I try to unlock it with the key from the outside it won't do anything...so it is possible that they jammed somethin in there and got it to unlock.......then when they got in they saw the purse and found her keys to the car in it...I was so frustrated cuz my system was gone...and I gotta have music when I drive...but I still haven't replaced it cuz I dont have enough money to buy another one right now......but thats the inside scoop on it....

I had my car stolen when I lived out in Phoenix. I had moved from Texas in Sept 20. Me, my brother, and two of our friends were renting a house right off of 43rd and Bell (glendale/Peoria area). The car got jacked Halloween night of 2003.

Me and a couple of friends decided to hit up Mill Ave to check out the party scene. I left the Maxx at home cuz I knew I was gonna get tipsy! While we were out, my brother had a couple of friends over from AAI and they were hangin' out drinkin.

I get home about 2-3 in the morning and as we walk in, I see my car is not in the front, so I figure my brother put it in the garage or the backyard. So at this point, I'm tore up, and I see my brother... I ask him (assuming that he's gonna say yes and not thinking anyting else) you put the car in?? And he's like no. I'm like shut up foo! I know your joking!! As soon as I say that... I see his face and I know he's not! So he goes outside, comes back in, and starts asking if anyone's seen the car. First thing I do is go inside my room and check for my keys.. and they're gone!!!!
I had never sobered up so quickly before!!

To cut the story short, the car and the keys were taken by someone... the car was found the next day in Tempe, but I wasnt notified by the Towing yard until 30 days later... Had to pay 332.00 to get my car back (which I was reimbursed by my insurance)

This was the worst thing that has happened to me where I have felt the most violated... they came in to my house, and took my car. That sucked!

Then a month later, my roomate's Regal (lowrider) was stolen from the house, found but stripped, and then 2 months after that, my brother's CRX was stolen, and found burnt to a crisp

I actually moved back to Texas about a year later. Phoenix was nice, but I missed home.

TO answer you BlkMaxNCa, the only think they messed up was the radio trim, but I claimed a scratch I had on the car and my clutch... which it was replaced.

Off the subject of carjacks but...

When I was living in Phx, a couple of friends and I went to a bar in Scottsdale where they had valet parking. I get out of the car and hand the keys to the valet guy. At the time, the car was at stock height with the 15 inch hubs. I had a Stillen intake, and y-pipe...

So we get out and walk about 10 feet to the entrance of the bar. As we wait in line, I hear the sound of a throttle opening up with an intake, and then some tires squeel... I'm looking at my friends like... was that my car!? And they start laughing saying yeah I think it was!

At the end of the night, we go get my car and the valet guy gets out of it. By this time, I had completely forgotten about the incident... The guy tells me, "I'm sorry but I just heard the intake so I had to step on it... Its fast though!!" I couldnt help not getting mad... I was more like.. yup! thats my car!! LOL

I woulda kicked that @SS square in the nuts. I get my wheels aligned at Sears around the corner from my house, and on multiple occasions, I've been standing outside talking on my phone, and here comes some dummy in my car, doing 50-55 through the back side of the mall parking lot. First instance was minor(low speed, 1-2 WOT pops), second was quite noticeable, and then the third p!ssed me off when he brought it into the garage doin 20-25ish and bottomed it out. I was standing in the hallway right outside the garage area, saw him do it, and HEARD it through two windows. I don't know the mechanics, but I personally know the receptionists in the store(small town). but still, I threw a fit and got a free alignment, rotate/balance, and oil change.

As far as the theft, have you considered changing the locks on your house and all?? She lose her SS card, ID?? anything that might give away your home address, possibly photo ID. If these thieves have frequented the area before, they might be able to match a face to the car. Not a good situation.
Best of luck with replacing the parts. Sorry I dont have any to spare. only OEM stuff I have layin around is a muffler.

Yeah my wife had her purse in the car with all that ****tttt in it,,,good thing about the situation is that I work 45 min. from where I live so at least its not in the same town....but we had to get her a new id and social card and we put alerts out on our credit, so if any one tries to run it in our name it will red flag it...but a freakin pain in the butt havin to do all that stuff...and we had to close our old bank accounts and we just opened up new ones , just to be safe. So we covered the most part, and we changed our locks on our house, since it had house keys on it and our mail box key...shoot my wife was paranoid as heck....I had to change everything in the house...but I think it was just some punk *** kids who just wanted a quick fix and they needed some money....DAMN THIEVES...I get all worked up thinkin about it!!! LOL
