Make sure you get genuine 3M film.

Yeah 3m claims that their product doesnt turn yellow. It does look good, though pricey.

well worth it. i do know for a fact that if you dont take care of your car you will notice. my buddy has one for his red prelude. you can tell he doesn't wax it because where the bra is it's bright red underneath, everywhere else if faded.

3M (urthane) will turn slightly yellow over time. you will notice it on a white color car...but any other color you should be fine.

also other PPF (vinyl) have issues with shrinking over time. so the film will shrink slightly and leave a small line of glue where dirt will stick on.

IMO stick with 3M

if you want to install it yourself then you can go on line and check out the cost of the precut film. depends on the car it might be difficult to do so it might be a good idea to seek a professional.

if you're not that handy or adventurous then i recommend going to your local PPF installer and see what their rates are.

The 3M will yellow (slightly) over time. I've had a clear bra on my black maxima for over 5 years and it has yellowed slightly. I really noticed it on the headlights where I have the same film applied, but not so much on the black bumper.

It's very different from the standard clip on/strap on front car bra. It is a thin film of polyethylene that when applied appropriately is unnoticable to most people. Think of it like window tint film, except a little thicker for durability, and clear so your paint shows through. It also is semi-permanent meaning no maintenance is needed to keep in on and it can be removed with a hair dryer or something similar.

i like black bras better, it looks better depending on what color car you have. if you have darker color car, like a black car you would never notice. i have a normal black bra, but i have glacier pearl. i like how it looks it matches my tint it just depends on what you like...

Look up invinca-shield. I think the site is literally www.invinca-shield.com .

I believe they use only 3m also. We have it on our rig and it has protected our paint job.

had a 3m clear front a couple years back - it didn't fade yellow but it did 'grey' out a bit - and became texturized - perhaps because I am in a cold climate with snow?

The clear bra would save the front from bugs and tar. You'll notice it if you drive on highways a lot.

We have had ours on our rig for over a year, and as of yet, it hasn't yellowed. Not sure if you can see it, this is one of the best pictures I have to date:
It is on the fenders and hood. It goes back as far as the black vents on the side of our rig. No yellowing from there, from this angle anyway.
Sorry for the large photo. It was needed for the close up (as much as possible).

Yes, we purchased from Invinca Shield, (which Porsche used for their Carrera Gt's). We purchased from their website and had a vinyl's company put it on for us. (owned by a friend of ours).

Look for quality nissan car bras they are guaranteed not to dull or fade under the sun’s UV rays.

The 3M stuff will yellow over time (3+ years), but it's not that bad. I've got a customer with a pearl white 5 gen and 3M clearbra that was installed in late 2003. It's now visibly yellowed, but it's not bad..

Also note that 3M has lifetime warranty on their stuff against yellowing, so if it does you just call them up and have it replaced under warranty. This is where it pays to have it installed by an authorized dealer. the bit of extra money for an installer is worth it when you have to remove it and do it again.

I bought my 04 max with a clear bra already on it. It has a hint of yellow but not that noticable. Ill prolly leave it on their for a while but does anyone know about removing it? Will it leave a sticky film or is it more like vynl?

I am struggling with this issue right now. We have it on our Mazda and our Honda van, but neither of these are white.

The max paint is the most fragile out of all 3 cars. I have 1000 miles and have about 8 paint chips (and I do not tailgate). My mazda had 7000 miles on it when I put it on , and it had 2 paint chips.

I am not very impressed with the paint on this car. The bras I use are 3m on the other cars, but I am really concerned about how it will appear on the white Maxima. But, I guess it is better than paint chips. I am really surprised at the paint so far, and expected a little bit better quality on it.

Oh well, it is JUST a car. Anyone have photos of it on a white max?
