WHY......... I can't find another 5sp Maxima
around the first of June but I cant find another 5sp Maxima and I refuse to drive anything less (you know what I mean 
) Im looking for a 97 now I had a 95. Why is it so hard.

its really not that hard... I don't know why you people find it so hard..
tell me where you live..
someone from Colorado said that two weeks ago.. they couldn't find any 5spd maxima's in their area... and they were searching for two months..
in the space of 2 hours .. i called a couple dealerships and did a couple online searches and i found 8 5spd Maxima's in his area.. so I don't know
maybe i am just GREAT at finding 5spd's

and i havn't called the dealerships yet.. this was just a 1 hour hunt.. i usually find most of the 5spds at the dealership.. if you like i can call a couple tommorow and post... or it might be useless like the last time

Why so hard?
Because only 5% of the Maximas sold in the States are 5 speeds. It's a wonder Nissan still sells 5 speeds here. My only guess is so that they can claim the "4 door sports car" and "0-60 in 6.XX seconds" stuff. Most people don't realize that the auto is significantly slower.
When I was shopping for Maximas, I didn't have much trouble locating them, but few were in good condition.

My local area is really really bad as far as stupid drivers and accidents. All of the local 5spd Max's were in pretty bad shape, had dents, scratches, etc. I finally found my mint-Maxi at a much more rural dealership about 45 minutes away but it was worth it!
I think most 5spd Max's you'll find are going to be at dealerships. I hardly see any in private classifieds around here. I guess 5spds are just too tough of a sell so people dump them off at dealerships as trade-in's and that's where they end up.
