I bought my chrome gauge rings from Paradox Systems a while back and now once about every 2 weeks I have to take my dash out and reposition them. Is there anything better glue I can use to hold them in place and actually make the STAY there? How would I apply it? Its getting kind of annoying having to ****** the dash every couple weeks or do without a speedo and tach. And since Im almost done with my 5 speed swap I kinda want my tach to work at all times.

I havent been around the .org for a while. Is there something wrong with me posting??? Ive just been so busy with school and all the past couple semesters that my Max has been put on the back burner...Ive just recently had the time to really do anything new with it. Also my auto tranny went out on me and Ive been on here non stop searching and posting for 5 speed stuff. Ive been a donating member for years anyway so I dont see why its a big deal.....

I used a black goo. it's called... automotive GOOP. Worked wonders for me. Just don't put too much on. use the nozzle that it came with and all should be good.

no, no problem. just thought it was interesting. and you answered all of my questions as to why you have been making alot of threads. i guess it did sound kinda harsh, it was intended to determine why for being here so long you suddenly starting being more active. thats all

No problem man, Im actually glad to be back. This was one of my favorite websites for quite some time, still is, I just havent had the time to be around much. Plus Im trying to keep that 5th gen tranny swap updated and maybe get it stickied since all we have to go by really is the 4th gen write up.

GOOP is the bomb. I've used it for years to repair all sorts of stuff. Holding my dress shoes together right now...crack across the sole has been filled in for the past 6mos. I've glued floor tiles back on with the stuff, they never come off again. Great because it stays slightly flexible even when its dry, so it won't crack. Wear gloves or mask off any area that might get smeared on, because this stuff is hard as hell to remove.

I just pressed mine on nicely when I got them. They stuck and are still there after 3 or 4 years.
