What about the system that the Maxima in Fast and the Furious had? AEBS Engine Management. I haven't been able to find out about that anywhere.

nto much people is hardcore enough to use stand alone systems. If someone wanted a straight race car only, most dont choose to buy the Maxima. Anyways, most of the stand alone systems can be universal to whatever car. Dunno much bout them but i know 2 people using Tech II systems and its pretty koo....have no idea how to tune it.

Hey Turbo, are you just running a tuned ECU? Either JWT or G
GForce?

Thanks.

LINK, Haltech, Motec, etc. there are a few options but 99.9% of the Maximas on the forum won't ever need a standalone unit, so there's no reason to splurge $1200+ for one.

The Haltech will fit our cars? Maybe I'm a little confused about these systems....

yes, they will fit. they are standalone units so everything is a custom setup.

Stand alone systems are not really car specific(in this post parameters anyway). Not only do they cost alot $1000+, they are very difficult to set-up and to tune. Just getting one doesn't mean squat. You have to know how to properly install and tune it also. Or pay up the yin-yang to have someone do that for you.

Judging by your post, you would definately have to have someone set it up for you. So allow another few hundred dollars(at least) for install and tuning.

If you are not going crazy w/ super small pullies, stand alones probably would not give the extra power to justify the purchase price.
