HI-I have been doing a little reading and have a few questions left on what exactly the PCV valve does. Does reburing the ¨blow by¨gasses from the crank case hurt engine performance? I know one reason you want to get rid of the gasses is b-c of the moisture in the gasses. If you took out the PCV Valve and just put a breather filter on the end that is supposed to go to the intake would every thing be ok. Well my question is(disregarding the emissions function of the PCV valve) if the crank case was allowed to vent to the atmosphere rather than to the combustion chambers vaccum, would the gasses escape from the crank ok. Thanks for the info. I hope I made the point of what I was asking clear. FSU_Rizzo@hotmail.com
