I've been told by a mechanic that the noise that I'm hearing from my engine (sounds like bad bearings) is coming from my transmission and that I will need to have it replaced. I have never had to replcae a transmission on a manual car so I have no idea what it would entail or how much it should cost or even if that mechanic is just blowin smoke up my a$$. Can anyone enlighten me?

Thanx,
Chotto
