lol. I find it funny that you guys think I'm some kind of VQ30 buff or die-hard fan.
The ONLY reason I said I would keep a 3L for ONE more year was money. It's not that I stuck with the 3.0, it's more like I'm stuck with it , lol, since I have to get some things done on the house and I can't sink all kinds of $$$ into the car. Well that and I never got my 12.xx with the 3L, and I know it will do it with the right conditions, so in part I am also being stubborn on that goal and want to see it achieved.
But seriously, I'd LOVE to be on to a 3.5! But to whoever is going to say "why not now, the engine swap's only $1k etc etc"... well the thing is it's not going to cost me just $1000 for the engine and throw it in there with an A32 ECU like 90% of the VQ35 swaps currently. I'm not knocking the guys that have gone that route, only saying that I have some serious plans that will take cash that I can't spend this year because of the house.
If I can't do all that I want to next year again because of money, then I will at least go to a 3.5 in some kind of interim form. There are other things to life besides cars, as much as I'd love to blow tons of money on the car right this minute!So for this season, a DEK will be going in. But it won't be stock internally...

BTW, at the end of the season, or early next year, there's a pretty solid chance I'll be selling the engine in preparation for the 3.5 going in.

eh its all installed now... except for the bimmer lights, and the amp and headunit are different now.
