2002 maxima

The biggest thing of course is the new 260 hp engine. I think that can make up for a lot of other "things." I have to admit some of the changes look a little questionable like the new tail lights. I think I'll reserve judgement until I see it in person. Another promising thing is according to the article there shouldn't be much of a price increase from the 2001. Let's all keep our fingers crossed. I haven't seen anything yet on the new Altima's but Nissan is sure adding some firepower to them as well. I still don't think it'll ever be a Maxima though. I've never been fond of the Altima so I don't think I'll start now. However, that 240 hp V6 is gonna be faster than our 4th generation Maxima's. Stock that is.

The black '91 SE (not coincidentally what I happen to own) is the best-looking Max model ever. With over 190,000 miles, mine is due for replacement. The 2002's six-speed, LSD and 260 hp will help me get over the loss in the looks department!
