Whack Clock - What 2 do?
I did the clock mod on my 97, including a switch.
Everything was fine at first
[except I still can't get the dash together, but that's another post…]
But after a while the clock would go out and then come back on later.
Totally random, no reason.
Sometimes if I rapped the dash with my knuckles it would come back - for a while.
It isn't my work - I soldered the connections.
I even took off the electric tape and checked the connections anyway.
There seems to be some kind of short in the wires right behind the clock.
If I kind of wiggle them around I can get it to go off and come back.
But I don't see any bad wires. I took the little plug assembly apart and everything seems fine.
I just can't figure this out.
I was thinking of trying some of that electrically conductive gel in the plug
- but I don't know where to get it and I don't know if I could get it into
the little holes in the plug without making unintended connections.
NE1 else experience this problem?
NE1 have any thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks in advance
