What type of effect do you guys think this will have on 4th gen resell value. Especially considering this will have more HP that a maxima which is supposed to be a level above this model?


Also, I was offered 13,500 trade in for my 98 SE 5spd (42k miles)17x8 SSR Integrals, i30 interior door handles, stillen supercharger, koni shocks, h&r springs, all bars etc(& clean, no stickers or big wings etc). The Audi dealer wants all my mods. He said go sell my stock wheels my self. Is this a good deal? He said he gets a lot of niche buyers there.

You could probably get more for it if you went out and sold it yourself, rather than trading it in.

 

That seems like adecent offer for your car. As a gneral rule, mods will decrease the resale value.

My plan is to get a new 2001 Max cheap when the 2002 Max and Altima come out...

 

Think of the jaw as the Max's resale:

2002 non-SE maxes will be going for many thousands off, and so will '01 at the end of this model year......

SprintMax won't approve because those will be for automagics only......

 

I am not sure what you mean the the "Jaw"?

 

Jaw = dropping like NASDAQ since March 2000.

Better to sell the 4th gen now, as once the "new and improved" '02 Max is out, there will probably be more 4th gen trade-ins.......bigger supply will mean less demand and less re-sale for your Max.....
