darker is better. I voted 20 but only cuz there was nothing lower. go 5%. It will look better than anything else.

remember, dark tints make it harder to see out at night.

i have 20%, and i often have to drive with my front windows open so i can see on dark streets.

If dark tint is illegal in your area, do 35's on the front sides, and then 20 the rest of the way round .. I have a similar setup and it matches fine, and it's light enough so that cops won't give you a hassle, and forgiving enough at night so you can see out the back

20 percent rear 35 rest it's almost what i have i have 15 percent rear 35 rest. It's hard to see in and not bad to see out at night but don't try to parrell park at night. Everybody likes it it has a slight silver tint to it.

whatever you do, I'd say get it all the same shade
I think it looks a lot better like that than the front being lighter shade

I agree with «§»Craig B«§» with getting 1 shade because it looks much better than having two different shades. Last month I got 35% up front and 20% in the rear because the guy at the tint shop told me that he couldn't do 20% up front because it was illegal. If I would do it again, I would get 20% up front and in the back. Your vision at night won't be as good on dark roads but it will look much better. Good luck!

also during the day, my front 20% look like 35% b/c of the sunlight coming in through the windshield.

and sometimes at night, i drive with my sunroof open (not the window, its not tinted, duh ), and it sorta relieves the darkness from the outside.

but, i rarely hear of anyone getting tickets for illegal tints. unless your riding a real loud car thats just screaming for cops, i wouldnt worry about dark tints.

hmmmm LIfe... you have mirror all the way around? dont the cops harass you? ur in california right?
cuz i have some shietty 35% purpleblack tint... and i want mirror tint but everyone says the cops give you mad trouble... and i dont wana put up with it

I got 20% on the back, and 35% on the rear windows and it looks nice. It blends up to the front since I didn't get the front windows done.

yea i live in cali...i haven't gotten harassed by cops yet...but i also know the cops that patrol where i live since they live right next to me...lol...they're cool with it...cause they have like limo tint all the way around on their cars..

well it seems like ur car doesnt have rims... cuz i've seen old people driving caddys and lexus's with mirror... but i think with big rims and being lowered i'd become a target...
any tips to avoid confrontation?

what kind are you going to get? if I were you I'd make sure to get a non-metallic for a number of reasons but also I'd get some of the newer types like Formula One or something that's guaranteed for life against any problems like fading, cracking, peeling, discoloration, etc. I have Formula One on mine and it looks fantastic.

yea...seriously...i have to get new rims and lower it like crazy...but i don't have enough money...a good tip to avoid confrontation is have the front windows down like whenever see a cop or have them down like 1/2 way...

but if u get chrome rims...the cops'll be like attracted to you...cause ur car will shine a lot but it's worth it

I went with 35 because it was the legal limit but 20 would have definitely been better. I think you should get the same shade as well. Have fun.

Check out my sig dude.... The pic doesn't bring out the right look though.. They look darker in the pic then they really are...... In the day time u can see through the 20% easy like they are 35.... i'd go with 5% on rear glass and 20% on all sides with a 6" strip on the windshield top.

I just got my tints yesterday! I went to get 20% all around, but he talked me into 5% all around. With the winshield so large in the front, it is not as dark as you would think. I think someone said this but when you have you sun shade open it brightens even more.

Since ur car is purple, u should get that rainbow tint. I think the only way to get it is to order it online but i feel it would look really good on ur car bc the rainbow with have the color from your car. I think a tint should compliment the color of the car itself.
