everybody remember the pilgrimage we made to the DC meet in Rock Creek Park last year??
I was just chatting with Barry about that. Man, that was a sight to be seen!! We had something like 25 Max's rolling Southbound on I-95.. Gotta get someone to turn that video of Barry's into an MPEG or something so we can all see it..
Remember the crew at New Again? and all those sick, sick Maxima's there. There was this guy with GC coilovers who had his Max literally sitting on it's tires.. That car was so low, you couldn't squeeze more that one finger between the fender and the top of the tires..
Then ther was the other dude, with the full on Surround-sound movie theater in his car..
After hanging out in the rain, we made the run back to NYC.. A few decided to head on without us (Barry, myself, Jose and Polomax) and despite leaving almost an hour ahead of us, we still caught and passed them on the New Jersey Turnpike. What a blast that was!!!!
Those were the days...

Cheers to US and many good times in the future!
Way back when for me was about 2 years ago when I found this BBS and then not much later found a guy with a SC'd Maxima who wanted to sell all his mods.
Advice from Loren, and countless others helped me at a critical time when I didn't even know what mods were available for Maximas and my car was as mild mannered as any other anonymous sedan on the road.
Alot can (and did) happen in two years and I think that most of it was for the better. This group has expanded greatly and it's really good to see new folks hanging on the BBS and asking questions like 'What does a y-pipe do' and 'What is a good set of springs for the Max'.
It's all good.

There were only about 5 or 6 of us in a parking lot off of Rockville Pike.. Me, Bossmax, Lawrence Ly, and Lovejoy.. I can't remember if it was the summer of '96 or '97..
I think Lovejoy is has been in the DC Max Club the longest.. We need to get him a Plaque!!#:>)
