Start with Don's VB mod. This will help immensely in the short run and when you add a SC, it will compliment it quite nicely.

kafene, NEVER post something bad about the automagic again, or else I'll make you drive a 5 speed Geo Metro for the rest of your life.

Man, I want a 5-speed (6-speed) so bad! Drove my friend's manual Tercel last night and it had me thinking how much more exciting it would be on a Max.

again.

it's gonna cost me about $650 to fix it. luckily i am made of money. in fact, i have a money tree right in my backyard (and for those who believe me, i can also walk on water).

i'm hoping to get the darn thing fixed in about 3 months.

Speakin of trees and door dents.. i got quite a few of those too, and one was even caused by a branch Its my largest one on the driver side..

Im gonna repaint eventually .. 650 for a dent? Screw that.. save up and repain for under 2g for a good paint job.

it's at a pretty good body shop. the first quote was for over $1k! i said screw that!

but they both said that i need to fix the dents and get the fender, front door, and the rear door painted to make it match. didn't help that my paint is also pearl.

hehe I went from GLE to 2500lb 6spd Celica GT-S with a 8300 rpm redline.
man.. I'm so serious, when I first drove my celica and whipped it aroudn the turns... wow, it felt like it was glued on rails to the floor compared to the max
but launching my celica is kinda hard

I was talkin to Mark at AAA Transmissions one day and he said all the drag racers have automatics. I'm not sure which class of dragsters tho...Automatics are perfectly fine. A VB Upgrade will bring you ever-so closely to a manual. And i'm talkin about the professional drivers. Your average "street racer" wont shift like a pro, and could miss shifts. A little tinkering to the maxima's auto tranny goes a LONG way.
