Spring-Only vs. Spring/strut/shock mod - Advice?
#2
Eventually your stock struts are going to wear faster because of the stress from the lowering. Depending on the condition of you existing struts depends on how long it will take for them to wear. My advise is to just do it all at once. You have to take the whole spring/strut assembly out and remove the spring from the strut anyway so you might as well just take everything out and install the new spring/strut assembly...

I went the Eibach springs-only route and wish I hadn't. As Chris and Yo_its_ok have mentioned your stock shocks won't last very long. I had to replace the stock shocks with Koni Sports nearly a month later but some others here have had them last longer. It's a crapshoot.
Bottom line is, if you want to save money, do both shocks and springs at the same time. You won't have to pay for the labour twice like I did.
