"A supercharger."
"A what?!"
"SUPERCHARGER!!!"
"No sh*t! That's f*ckin' awesome!"

I couldn't blame the guy for not hearing since we were both doing about 70mph side by side on the highway. He was driving a relatively new full-size Chevy pickup which I assume had a full-size V8 in it.

I had beat him out at a traffic light but didn't really notice him since pickup truck drivers aren't usually interested in cars. Once we got on the highway though, he took off, squeaking through some light traffic that I was tied up in, and getting a decent lead on me. I followed, planning to shadow him while keeping an eye out for police. I had no problem catching up to him even though he was about half a mile ahead and doing about 80mph.

I guess this impressed him since he moved to the right stuck his arm out the window and waved me up. Not knowing what to expect, I obliged. I was glad that I did since I happen to think that my car is f*cking awesome also.

I nodded my thanks to him, turned and stomped the gas, just to show off. Just before I leave him behind, I hear him yell over the roar of the exhaust "YeeHAAA!".

That guy sounds like me...

As an owner of both a Max and a truck, I can definately understand where this guy was conming from. My truck is my baby, and after I list its mods you will understand why. 1998 GMC Sierra Z-71 Black, ext. cab, 3rd door, step side, Vortec 350, auto, tan leather, 3% tint all the way around (except windshield of course), 33" BFG mud terains, stainless tube bed rails, stainless nerf bars, Warn enforcer bumper with Warn M12,000 winch and PIAA fog/driving lights, stainless rocker guards, stainless tool box, rewired headlights to run dim and high beam at same time when on high beam, with 85/110 watt Hella blue stars, stainless grill insert, stainless bug guard, Borla split rear exit cat back, K&N FIPK, Jacobs ignition w/secondary ignition trigger and radio supressed wires, hands free kit w/ 3 watt booster, Bel 980 fuzzbuster, Cobra CB, Alpine CDA-7949, Stinger 200 amp alternator, dual Optima Yellow Tops, All esoteric wire, including 1/0 power wire, JL Audio XR-653cs (3 way; 6.5", 4", tweet) and XR-525cs 5.25" and tweet, 1 farad cap, fully dynamat'd interior, Kicker ZR 600 (subs), ZR 240 (Front), ZR 120 (Rear), Stinger HPM (platinum) RCAs and connectors, 3 JL audio 10-W6s, with one in JL center console stealthbox... and soon to come: Hypertech Power Programmer III, Doug Thorley tri-Y headers, Granatelli MAF, ported throttle body, JL 10-W7s to replace W6s and a full digital ent. system w/ twin widescreen Alpine monitors, DVD player, VCR, TV tuner and 5.1 processor w/ center channel. When I rebuild the engine I plan on installing a 750 hp supercharged 427 small block and a turbo 400 tranny w/ lockers front and rear and a solid axle conversion.

Even as it is now, with easily 1,000 lbs. of extra weight I can still smoke Hondas, and do, whenever I get a chance to. There is no greater feeling than schooling a ricer with a truck designed to go off-road....
Sorry to talk so much, but I haven't been able to drive her for almost a year now and I just needed to get that out, thanks for bearing with me.

Who knows, maybe I'll trailer the Max to the west coast for Maxus 2002, and everyone can see both my babies.

What do you guys think, would you be embaressed to ride around in my baby?
