Those things look good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And look at what you get for $618. I really hope we are not getting excited for nothing.

mzmtg, you are the man for finding the company.

These people are going to make tons of money from us if these things really work. We should try to get a group deal going soon as we get positive results.

E-money, post the company's web address information please.

The dyno shop in Warren no longer exists and the shop in Worcester never anwers the phone, ever! I have tried the shop in Wor. for months and no one is ever there. The only dyno shop left that is anywhere near me is called Danielson Ford but I am not sure if I can get them to dyno a FWD car. Believe me guys I want to see what these headers can do more then anyone!

Deezo, heres the web site www.prestigeautomotive.co.nz . There site is not very informative, it does however list the available maxima parts.

1MAX2NV Why do you think these will not fit the CAL/NLEV model(95-98 has one version of the CA/NLEV equipment, 99+ has another version but it should work on both)? Unless you are referring to the front precat problem... But the solution to the problem would be to just hook up the new front header plug the front precat O2 sensor in the port provided and rewire the front precat secondary sensor into a new port behind the main cat... remember a 5th Gen has had this done with a swap from a CA/NLEV front down pipe to a FED front down pipe. I think at first he tried to just drill a hole in the precat which just created problems. He had problems with a rough idle and a loss of low end. Then he just rewired the second O2 sensor like I said behind the main cat while also putting a FED front pipe in. From my understanding it worked fine with no check engine light, also he regained a smooth idle and gained his low end back. I do not think he gained much though... it was only like ~1hp. But with this header/Y combo I feel you we would gain more.

California emmisions controls. If you didn't know what it meant, I'll be a little to hard to explain what Cali spec means then.

Hey Emax95,

first of all, YOU ARE DA MAN! I am honored that we have same first name.

And the important part, I think if you get it dynoed, it probably will show 15-20 FWHP increase over stock. But how do you know that increase is due to their ypipe, not the header? You have to use the supplied ypipe, right?

If the dyno shows 25FWHP increase, then the header gotta be working because a ypipe alone isn't gonna get you 25FWHP.

Anyways, this is so exciting. I'm getting a hard on.

No results yet dude, I just got them in the mail 11 hours ago. I am quick but not that quick .

Anthony{maineI30}, as of now the headers will be installed on Monday.

Hokiemax, thanks dude. I hope I get 25 HP but I don't expect more then 20fwhp.

All this talk of group deals is getting me jeleous, it was a lose, lose situation for me, you see if I did not order them then nobody whould have gotten them{atleast not for awhile} and if I did order them I whould lose out on a group deal , it's just not fair damn it! All right enough complaning.

Anthony #2{NY96}, I like you so I will say it again , I got the headers from a company called Prestige Perfomance Centre{yes I spelled it right}, the logan is "performance without compramise" . There web site is www.prestigeautomotive.co.nz .

BTW I just took out my Osram TRUE HID kit out of my I30 and transplanted it in the max and the beam pattern is horrible compared to when they were in the cefiro lights. My next project will be transplanting Cefiro lights on my max. I will do it, and soon! Unless of course Hogan get's the projector lights made soon.

The worst part would be getting the headers off but you just need to be gentle, use really good airtools and possibly a torch to heat and loosen the bolds holding them on.

2 more just got to my house in Rochester, I have to get those tomorrow, I have to ship one out, and either give the other one to delio or use it for myself. It doesnt matter. But, 2 more are on there way for next week, covering me and my friend matt. When I get mine, I'll probably have my guy install it, depending on where I want to get it done.

Ethan-

What do the directions say about the intake manifold and what needs to be removed? Do they give you new header bolts? New gaskets?

I don't think you'll need a torch to get the old bolts off the manifolds because those are only on there with 35 ft/lbs.

I think it means that you refit your cat and cat back...I don't think you can use the OEM Y-pipe with these.

From the pics that you posted the O2 sensors are in the "header" that connects to the engine. On the OEM piece the O2 sensors are in the y-pipe...so I can't imagine that you can use the OEM y-pipe with these.

Good point, I think you are right.

Good news about getting to dyno my car! The dyno 15 miles from my house said that they will infact dyno a fwd car so I made a appointment tomarrow at 4:30. The bad news is it is $120 bucks an hour X 2='s a stincking $240, argh..

I have a question for all of you, should I wait like a week after I get my headers on for my ECU to adjust to the new higher air flow? Let me know how that works because I want to make I do this right the first time.

You were the first one to take the plunge, because nobody else would try it. Now your running a dyno twice because everyone demands it. You taking one for the .org, so we should start a paypal fund to reimburse, similar to “send Cheston to Maxus”, for…
1: the money you paid over what a group deal will save us
2: the money required for the initial dyno

What do you say gentlemen?

Thanks a lot for the offer dude, I really appreciate but don't swett it. I volunteered my self for the job and I am having fun . I just have to take a little brake from spending anymore money the next few weeks.

ejj5875, yeah that's what I figured, I will wait about a week to do the follow up dyno. I will however do some GTech test the day I get them on, mabye we can get a litle sample of the truth there.

Bends on Ypipe

I noticed from the pics that on the y-pipe the bends apprear to be crimp bend not mandrel. But hard to tell from pics. It might be better to keep the Stillen or Cattman y-pipe
