Whats up guys, I just recieved my headers VIA fedex international! They look awesome and very well built. They came complete with all the gaskets and hardware plus a very informative installation enstruction print out. I even got a cool looking sticker . I will take pics in a few minutes, I have to run out to the store and get some AA bateries and then I will post the pics.

Ok now to anwer the questions.

Tony, I am not exactly sure what material they are made out of but I believe it is stainless steel{I will ask and find out}. As for the weld? I don't know that either , all I know is they are top notch looking, just as good as my Stillen exaust. The Y-Pipe is included with these headers as seen above.

Andy, I expect a good 15-20 fwhp from these headers/Y-pipe combo.

Steve, the EGR hole is incorporated in the headers designe as is the 2 o2 sensors.

Ron, they may be installed any time between tomarrow and Monday.

He's selling the I30 I think, and he already said that they do fit the 5th gens. I guess its time for a new mod if you gain some power!

Hey Ethan,

I'm gonna talk to my friend from Westerly in the next few days. Then I can find out when I can come out there next week. PM or email a number I can reach you at. I'll talk to you later.

You need to do back to back dyno tests (before/after) for exact results, conditions, etc. 15-20 over stock? Will you be dynoing with existing mods (y-pipe, etc) before, then do the afters with this set-up?

Getting the info via the Dyno before and after is crucial, its the proof in the pudding, so to speak. Keep us posted, they look good.

Well...that's not going to fit on my car ->

No way that would fit on the cali-spec. The rear half might, but that front manifold is not going to work.

Hey those look really good. I think they really did a good job of making the pipes equal length. The horsepower gains with this set-up will be at least 5-10hp flywheel over just a y-pipe. I think the other y-pipe companies should have done this in the first place. I think you are really gonna notice a big difference in the top end mainly. Good luck with the install.

donuts anyone?

What is with that donut on the rear manifold? Looks strange but I guess they did it to even the lengths of the pipes. Good luck, what did the set run you?

Ethan-

How do the directions look?

Those headers are very impressive looking. PLEASE go dyno BEFORE you install. Like Don said, this is crucial to get verified results. Also please use the same dyno to limit any bias. If you're car makes 200fwhp then I'm getting the suckers!!!!! What I really want to see is if you'll continue to make power past 5600rpms.

The directions look real nice. They printed them out on some cool nissan paper too. I have been searching really hard to find a dyno all week, so far I have found two. One of the 2 I have called like 20 times and they never ever answer the damn phone, so I don't think that place is going to work out. I found a dyno that is only 15 miles away from me so I just drove down there but the guy in charge of the dyno had just left so I am going to talk to him tomarrow. I did talk to a lady who worked there and she seemed to think they can only dyno RWD car's, WTF! I really hope I can get my car dynoed there becuase other wise there is really no other shops with in a 100 mile{my limit} radius.
If worse comes to worse I can do a whole bunch of G-Tech Pro tests.

The power mods I currently have on my 95 max are as follows: Stillen Intake, RT cat, Stillen cat-back, Alluminum flywheel. I don't think I will hit 200 FWHP with just these header/y-pipe setup, I will hit 200 at the wheels once I get my G-Force ECU and UDP though .

The grand total came to $618, this including 2 day shipping and all the customs charges etc. I think the price is pretty damn good because you get a Y-Pipe and headers for only $600!

Don't they have CAI intake and Coil-Over systems for 4th and 5th gen maximas? If so, can I order them also?

Thanks

There is a Dyno in Worcester MA, and also in Warren RI. I'm not sure where you live in RI so if these are close to you at all they might help. Please, Please do a before and after Dyno! If the results are good, i'll be ordering them that day.

This is quite exciting

It's always good when a new part comes out for our cars. There is finally a nother bolt on we have access to. Like everyone else, I can't wait to see the results. If this set proves itself, these things should go like hot cakes.

Nah, take a look at the way the front header is, and how long it is, there is now way you could finnagle a Y-pipe to connect those headers. you definately have to use their setup.

Yes you are right. But the question is, how good is their Y-pipe ? Also, is he dynoing this thing with just these on his car, the rest stock ? Just wondering.

It wouldn't really make a difference if he is dynoing on a stock car or not, any gains over a regular Y or aftermarket Y setup would still be appreciated.
