there is now way they can win? I just don't get it. I was on the highway the other day (in my Z not my max) and this guy in a Max (5th gen, lowered, super loud exhaust,...) starts f***ing with me and motions lets race. I am like what are you kiddin? Don't get me wrong I love my max but a max against a twin turbo Z? So he kept on and on. So I had to show him what twin turbo means. After leaving him in my wake, haven proved my point I slowed back down to highway speed (65-70) and about 2 mins later he come tearing by me....with the look on his face of wooo look at me blow by you.

Some people want to see how well their car can do against something definately faster knowing they'll loose but still want to give it a try. Then again, sometimes you can look over and see soem POS hatchback with a loud farthole, but that POS can be running 10s for all you know Ofcourse this wasn't the instance but maybe he just wanted to race for the hell of it, and your car looks like you would race.. so why not try..

because they wanna post a roadkill story here that goes something like this: "Roadkill 300Z twin-turbo...motioned to 300z to race, and after a bit of coaxing, the 300z took off without waiting for me. the 300z had gained 10 car lengths on me by the time i hit red line on 2nd. when i hit 65-70 on 3rd, my 190hp took charge and walked the 300z. roadkill!! i looked over to the 300z driver and gave him a woo-woo don't-mess-with-a-max look. i guess the y-pipe and clear corners helped a lot."

 

Well don't be too sure of yourself. He could have easily had an SC under there running 10psi or 100shot of NOS. So you don't know what you can win until you run since you have no idea what he has under the hood. In this case he shouldn't have bothered. A zTT can be beat by a boosted Maxima especially on the highway. Maybe the guy is a .org member too?

 

Don't know if member of the org or not. The car was a black 5 gen. So only he knows if he is here or not. But even boosted or NOS I was not worried. I didn't mention that my Z is not a stock TT. I push about 410hp.

 

I've done this many times in my old car, v6 car 165 hp and 3700 lbs. I raced two vipers, a vette, a supra turbo, z28s, trans ams, a mustang cobra, and lots of 5.0's. I lost every last one of them. but it was fun. I don't know about y'all but I have fun at this, and i don't go in to do nothing but win. I'll race anybody, anytime. for fun.

BTW, nothing smoked me as bad as the viper from a standstill, i was off my seat, standing on the accelerator, but i might as well have been in reverse.

 

When I'm in my Corolla..I race anything for the hell of it. I know I ain't gonna win..but who cares..and sometimes if its a nice car like yours..I'll just try to get the guy/gal to race so I can hear their car at WOT and see it fly.

Once I tried to get a Viper to floor it from the lights..but he didn't. I always wanted to hear a Viper at WOT..oh well.

By the way, when I say I try to race..I don't motion to the driver..I just floor it hoping they'd get the sign.
