Im looking for a battery with like a red top. What are my options out there and how much am i looking at paying ?

How about an optima red top? I dont know if they will go on the Maxima but they are red. Go to www.optimabatteries.com to see a pic.

They can be used in max's. a bunch of people have them. the max of the month does.

check ebay. i've seen them for under $100. Pep Boys is supposed to carry them too.

well if you compare the stats of these batteries to some of the others you'll realize the dfference, but mostly you're paying for the name "Optima"...(as with most "mainstream" products)
