on a serious note.. what plugs were you running? brand? type?
NGKs but in the 6 heat range instead of the 5s. Someone else posted that they felt the perfomance degradation too in a 'performace plugs for maxima thread
' somewhere around here. Secondly, you have to be in a driving mood to race, like on the way back from LSP or Maxus, I feel comfortable flying then. Just lining up on a highway and doing it isn't quite the same thing.

The stock is the NGK PFR5G-11, colder is the PFR6G-11, recommended with frequent NOS usage, a S/C or extended highway driving or frequent revving into the higher engine speeds. The PFR4G-11 is hotter than stock and is reomended for frequent stops and short drives. All of the NGK P series are platinums, I believe it is their B series that is copper.
