Cryogenic Tranny Treatment... WTF?
#1
I flipped through an import car magazine this morning which featured readers' cars, each with the modifications listed. I was surprised to note many of the cars were equipped with cryogenically treated transmissions. I know what cryogenics are, but I do not know what this tranny treatment entails, what it accomplishes, nor what companies offer the service. Is this phantom process worth pursuing further? Who knows?
Please advise. Thanks.

Over in the Altima forum, there's a guy who's father does cryo stuff for a living. The dad was feeling nice and said "hey, i'll do 1 batch for free, anything anybody wants, as long as they pay for shipping". A batch was supposedly pretty large and some people sent in strut bars and sway bars for the heck of it.
Anyways, he did a writeup on what cryo does for cars. Supposedly reinforces it somehow. I'll hafta dig up the post when the forums come back online.

Thanks. I just did a search on the Internet for cryogenic transmission treatment, and I was really surprised to see how many suppliers there are! I found out a ton 'o info in a few minute's worth of reading. I'm speechless. I never heard about this process before this week. It seems as if this is worth pursuing. I sent an inquiry to a company in Savannah, Ga. I'll see what they say, and advise. Thanks again.
