SC and Me: reflections of the soul, the mind, and the integra..
Well, its been two weeks since i've had the blower installed, the clutch and the flywheel have yet to go in (due to lack of time, complimented with my laziness) and some of the hoses in the engine bay look like they're running amuck, but man, once that turbine spools up. its heaven.
after solving that lag/fuel pump problem(for those going to get the sc, remove the vaccum line to the hobbs switch) its been a dream to drive around LA. At first i didn't think slapping yet another bolt-on goodie was going to make that much of a difference, but i am thankfully reminded by the whoosh of air from the blow off valve that its true, i DO have a supercharger, and YES the power is there, at call.
it's weird, before on my NA max with the gforce ecu, pull starts at 2800 rpm and climbs and drops off around 5200..so when i first drove the SC.. i was kinda of hesitant, nothing happened until 3400.. then all of a sudden... the car gets kicked in the ***, the wheel breaks traction, and i actually start SPINNING tires at 4300 rpm.. im like. huh? the shift light hits next, and i shift to 2nd..
with the AFC, NA mass air flow was registered at 56.5%.. with the sc? 84.3% max.. nearly double the amount of air flow into the throttle body! impressive.. i mean. man, i've had this car for three plus years and if u've been keeping track with me and what i've done.. i nearly threw it all away with my accident in feburary... but since the SC. its given the maxima new life, and really its like driving a new car. i've had to re-learn my launch techniques, (driving quietly next to cops), and learning to shift properly next to car so they hear the blitz.
.. man. after fixing all the annoying problems with the kit.... it truly can be a worth-while investment.
now onto the integra.. this is hilarious..
so i'm in santa ana, lost as usual... trying to find the free way, and i'm on a surface street, there's a modded blue integra, slammed, exhaust, cambered mesh rims to freak, and we both start off the line, he speeds up and i follow behind, about 4 cars behind and i noticed hes flooring it.. so i go too. i floor it and now i'm nearing the end of 2nd gear and i've already cut the lead down to nil. I shift, conviently next to his open-window, and PPPSSSTT!!, and i start pulling away.. next thing i hear is "azzhole!" screamed over my exhaust.. haahahah.
i take it he didn't like it that much when i handed him the can of ***, nicely whooped. i know. i know. normal integra. but still. he asked for it..
i can't wait for the flywheel and ACT to go in. hopefully i can start chirping in between gears... my stock clutch is already going...
thanks for listening.... and hopefully this has done something other than to bore you.

try not to have too much fun.. I think the break in period on your new clutch is going to be very frustrating. And go over to Brianv's and smack him around a little for wanting to get rid of his maxima ;D

. You were right though it was VERY frustrating the first 300 miles.Hey Cheston my main man, it looks like I am off the hook now! It's been a good 2 weeks and every thing still works good
. BTW your making me want to get another SC now
, Stop it!. Ohh BTW Cheston that new Cluth/Flywheel setup is going make things 10X's better, just wait and see... Nothing beats Chirpen 3rd.

I don't know to be honest. Maybe the 3.33 is a better option for now. Problem is finding the belts. How hard is it to swap out the pulley, with the supercharger not on the car yet? Maybe I can swap in the pulley and the belts, then have someone to install the whole thing for me. The 3.25 might be a bit too much for me now since I'm still running stock internals.

I just plugged the hose with a yellow golf tee and capped the hose connection on the auxiliary fuel pump.
