I was wondering if the Stillen plastic pulley failed due to the plastic coming apart or the inner bearing freezing or any other reasons. Stillen pulley suppose to be made out of high temp plastic, correct? I realize a couple guys have upgraded to custom made aluminum/metal pullies did you use the same bearing or a upgraded bearing? Does either one of the pullies (idler or tensioner) fail more often than the other?
PS: Jane/Kev I couldn't resist, I had to ask

its the idle adjustment pulley (aka the one with RAILS)
the sucks spins so fast, the lube that stillen uses for the bearing over heats, and seperates, causing the pulley to slip off, and ruining your day.
stillen SUPPOSEDLY fixed this with new higher-temp grease.. but i dunno..
waiting for phil to finish the aluminum pulleys...

The tensioner/belt adjuster pulley is the one with rails while the idler pulley is the one without.

.
Question... do you guys think the tensioner pulley will work for the idler pulley and vise versa? Pulleys with rails will keep the belt from slipping off, right? Why not use the one with rails for the idler pulley also? Hmmmmm.......
No problem Mike.

No problem Mike.

Interesting idea Kev. Hm...it should work, shouldn't it? Why don't you try it first and let us know.
Hey Kev or anyone with a S/C. Why is it that there are two different types of intake piping on the S/C? I see that in Kev's sig pic that he has the black one yet I've seen pix of a polished one. Is it that only the ones that come with the BOV option is polished?

4th gen piping is different than 5th gen piping.
