Thats nice but he didnt complete the comparison. He should have compared hot idle temps for the CAI and OEM. Then compared the driving down the road temps for the CAI and OEM. All this before the wrap. That way one can compare the benefits of the CAI versus the OEM.

Isn't that header wrap? I use that on my go-kart exhaust lol. Also my neighbour has it on his intake he said its really affective!

This test is completely wrong. When you first start the car, of it's going to be cooler. There's no underhood heat. WHen you park the car, of course it's going to get hot because there is no moving air. The underhood temps can climb over 20 degrees within 20 seconds of parking as tested by my digital thermometer. This guy should be getting a reading while traveling at different speeds and under different outside temps. This is the only way to know for sure if any of that stuff works.

Interesting... but the insulation he used is designed to protect against mostly radiant heat, no mention of convective heat, which will be a problem underhood. He probably would have gotten better results if he used a thicker insulation which provided more convective/conductive protection.
Just a thought but still we need people to try things because there's hidden power out there and we need to find it.
