Hello:

I am brand new to this board and I'd like to say thanks for answering a question. I have been on the Jeepsunlimited.com board since September and have since become addicted to Jeep related automotive information. Well yesterday the check engine light came on in my 95 SE so I instantly wondered if there was a similar Maxima board that could help diagnose the problem.

Well, five minutes of searching got me to this site and another five minutes showed me the screwdriver trick to the ECU (to the right of the accelerator ) Thanks!!!

I'm not sure if this find is completely healthy however. I used to think I wasted too much time on the Jeep board...what am I going to do now that I have all of these THESE posts to pour through??!! Oh well, I'd better get busy reading....only six more hours of work left today!!

Is there any secret advice for a newbie?

Very true my friend.. I've wasted many an hour (lunch hour and otherwise) at work surfing/posting/replying on this board... I remember awhile back when we were running a different BBS format there was talk of trying to find a font/color scheme, etc... to replicate all the various programs that people in here worked on so as to "fool" the bosses... heheh my solution was just to keep my screen at such an angle they couldn't see it... and of course be quick with the mouse !!! ... good luck.. as shing said.. lots of valuable info here.. but misinfo can abound too... just take it easy and you'll be all right.. you might just toss a message on the board that best fits your region and see if you can hook up with some of the people in your area (I'm a huge fan/supporter of maxima meets.. its really cool meeting all these folks.. haven't been disappointed yet ..) Good luck and welcome to this great ball of mass confusion
