Is getting the 30,000 mile service by Nissan worth it? Is there anything major in the service that needs to be done at the 3ok mark? Anybody know how much the service costs?

Too much if you're having the dealer do it. at 36K I actually just did all the fluids myself, and replaced the sparkplugs. I figure the timing takes care of itself...
Of course I did miss out on that complimentary car wash with any major service...

My car just hit 30K last week, but I did most of the 30K service by myself. The spark plugs don't really need to be changed until 60K, you can flush the fluids such as the antifreeze by yourself...but the 30K service some dealers charge about 250 all the way to 400. This one place said the $400 was a discount. I wanted to tell him to go to hell!!
in any case, you need to:
flush radiator and cahnge the antifreeze
oil change with filter
fuel filter--dealer will charge you 40 bucks for it (with labor)
you can change the spark plugs--but if they can last until 60--then wait...they aren't cheap.
transmission fluid flush
pcv valve (I know a lot of people have changed it)

check the brakes and stuff--and that is about it...am I missing anything else?
