no, but sounds light a good idea..


one of my fogs is out cause a rock hit the housing and broke it..

my bulbs are suppose to be in the mail... once i get them i will see if it can be done and if it is worth the effort!!

This is not a wise thing to do... >>

Foglamps are meant to project light wide and low. The glare guard is there to provide the sharp cutoff of your foglamp beam pattern. Without this piece, some light would be projected upwards, rather on the road where you need it.

The foglamps on the 4th Gens are not driving lamps and should not be used as such. Also, removing the guard will not make the lamps brighter. I think that the author of that page has mistaken excess glare for increased intensity.

What about the ones on the headlights? That would make the headlights brighter, a friend of mine with a civic, ordered jap spec headlights, and they didn't have the gaurd on them? Just a thought

The ones in the headlights attatch with screws, so it would be easier to try it out. You could put them back if it didnt work.
