I was reading the JCWSPORTCOMPACT magazine and came across a interesting item. It is called the V-Force Power Control Modules by JET Performance Products. It says that it is a easy "plus and play" under-the-hood installation and it compatable with Nissan 84-01 All 6-cyl......47YS7202P
It says that it is designed with a 20MHz microproccessor to optimize the ignition spark advance and recalibrate the fuel map. Led readout. On/Off switch. Just wondering if anyone has purchased this item and yoru thought on it. Also, can a 300Z throttle body fit on my maxie...?

Avoid JET.....

if their ECU is no good on a Maxima(produced 0 gain), then that thing will be even worse...if you want REAL fuel control and ignition timing control go with Apexi or HKS...but avoid the JET V-Force, its a waste and the design is horrible...how much adjustability can this possibly yeild looks like "all show, no go" to me -->

whoa

that jet v-force thing looks old school, like a old radar detector or something. btw does the jet ECU reall produce 0 HP and no gains, no quicker revving or anything. wow what a POS product haha.

Well.....

as far as I know a guy got one for his 4th gen and the dyno showed little to nothing of any gain...all it does is remove the rev limiter, the real gains come from air/fuel and ignition adjustment which the JET ECU seems to LACK! if you do a search you'll find the post in the 4g forum, but its a really old topic! all I know is avoid JET and Superchips ECUs for the Maxima, as far as I know all they do is remove the rev limiter, nothing more...stick with JWT and G-Force!

hmmm.

what do the jwt and g-force chip do, i thought the jwt one had to be used with the jwt nitrous to get gains. soomeone tell me what the g-force does.

now it depends on what year Max you have cause I don't think the JWT and G-Force chips are avaiable for all years from 95-01.....and the JWT chip will work VERY EFFECTIIVELY without nitrous(but JWT also makes a chip specifically for NOS'd Maxs though)...I've heard the JWT will produce 8-10hp and boost the performance of you current mods(intake and exhaust) the G-force probably performs the same as the JWT chip, but I'm not entirely sure!

how much and where

where can i get a g-force chip and how much, which is better jwt or g force, how much for both, which is more worth it. and if i only have intake , y-pipe , and no muffler work will that give me alotta gains? thanks.

Well......

you can do a search or since you have a 2k the best place to ask these questions would be in the 5th gen forum...I'm not even sure there is a chip available for the 5th gen so I'm not the one to ask....as for the gains it will be most noticable with intake and Y-pipe...if the search works you'll find all the answers there.
