Taking Pictures at Night, Questions!!!!
#1
Hey,
I want to take pictures of my Maxima and its Lights at night ... I'm Using a CONVENTIONAL Camera, not digital, with 400 ISO Film.
Here's my Questions:
1) Do I use the FLASH or Not???
2) Do I take pictures of my lights in Pitch Darkness or with Some sort of Light???
3) If I don't use flash for Pics of my dash do I use flash???
Thanx,
Eric

Is it a point and shoot or a a camera where you can control the settings?
If it's a point and shoot, you just point and shoot and hope everything turns out ok.
If it's a manual, I would get a tripod and maybe expose the film a little longer. But if you're taking pictures of your lights, you shouldn't expose it too long. It's best if you take it in pitch blackness or in almost pitch blackness. But it really depends on what you want.
And since your dash has that plastic covering over it, try not using a flash because the flash is going to reflect off the plastic.

You will definitely want a tripod. I would suggest not using the flash, it will just ruin the picture...even if it doesn't reflect badly.
Try a few different settings, such as various shutter and aperture settings to get a range of pictures from which to choose. Good luck!

I would say don't take the picture in total darkness because the flash is not powerful enough.
Take the picture in the dusk(almost dark) and enhance the picture with photo software to make it darker and add a little contrast.
Example
I took this picture at dusk.
