Check out what I did...I just added some red wire looms. Makes the engine bay look a whole lot more appealing. Plus I took a few pics of my K&N intake. I took them in my garage so forgive me for the quality. Thanks for looking...

Are those silicone replacement hoses? or just a wrap?

I'm getting two genuine hosetechniques univ starter kits shipped 2 me for about $100 ... regular price is $58 / kit + shipping ...

They are just plastic wire looms that wrap over the stock tubing. I don't want to have to deal with putting in new hoses, so I just went with this.

If you have a Car Parts store, they should be there. If you can't find anything, I could get you some....

Well you have a 4th gen right? If you send me a picture of your engine, and label what you want covered, I can get it for you. Since my brother has a '97 I can get the sizes off his car. If you want to do that. Hit me up with an e-mail at grdmasterg2@yahoo.com

Silver might actually look nice with a black car. But you can't go wrong with red on black. I'd say go with the silver and be different

The looms is what takes forever... especially if you have the urge to cover everything.

Higher...

why the looms? aren't they split?

higher? omg ... 4 days?

forget that ... how long do just the hoses take? I'm going 2 buy extra hoses ... slit them down the middle & use those 2 cover e/t else that would have been loomed ... does this sound like it'll take less time?

Looms because you can't cover the old looms with the HoseTechnique hoses. Doing just the hoses doesn't take too long.

5 days... about 3 hours per day.

Yeh I bought a bunch of blue hoses, but just never could get up the courage/energy to do it, so gave away the hoses at the NE meet last fall.

But how do the wraps look up close? The pix look nice, but ?? just wondering if they look as good as hoses would

I wouldn't recommend spliting the hoses.....BAD IDEA... because when the hoses aren't perfectly straight...and you'll see the splits.....i know cuz i tryed it....I think the best/easiest way is too just yous the wire looms.....and it defenitly doesn't take 5 days/for 3hrs a day.....you could get it done a lot faster than that.....

Why not split the hose? HoseTechniques give you a splitting tool (letter opener). Of course you'll see the edges if you use a blade. Well, I split the hoses for my accelerator and cruise control and they came out perfect, so

Let's take a look at your engine bay... post a pic and tell us how long it took.
