300zx pump, please! Its not a direct replacment in a 4th gen, the walbro is. Not to mention that the 300tt pump is twice as much new.

@12v's and 40psi the walbro 255lph "high pressure" pump will flow 59gph, thus supporting 708hp, at 13.5v's the flow goes up to 68gph, thus supporting 816hp.

The rule of thumb is 1/12gph per hp.

Your stock fuel lines will need to be replaced before the walbo 255lph HP reaches its full potential.

Turbo look at this to see how it performs at your aplications pressure level.

Interesting alright... but what about the injectors? What is a direct drop in injector that can pump out that much fuel? Anything else in the fuel rail need to be changed? I guess the pressure regulator also needs to be changed too but those are pretty universal.

But remember changing the injectors will also require you to get your ECU upgraded and mapped for that extra fuel, otherwise you will not be going anywhere. And for the ECU upgrade you must either have a 95 Max or some 96's, so that leave many of us without the option to upgrade injectors.

I always thought that the ECU controlled the injectors in percentages. So a signal at 30% open would be 30% across the board, so long as it's designed for that voltage signal or whatever. Would a fuel controller work, like the S-AFC? I was thinking of eventually getting the RC Injectors that Don was going to offer soon (if he ever does) after I get a Supercharger and have never heard of anybody else needing an ECU upgrade for new injectors on any other boards, like Supra, 3S, RX-7, blah blah blah.

I'm no expert, but.......

I think when most of the turbo Eclipse guys upgrade to 550cc injectors they can use the Super AFC to "recalibrate" on the stock ECU without any major ECU reamapping(basically what Sith was saying)...I'm not sure how that would apply to the Maxima, but I'm just guessing.....my friend is planning to go this route on his GST eventually(too bad hes a damn slacker when it comes to mods )

from the article:
"The biggest use for the AFC is to install larger injectors (richer) and then adjust the AFC leaner to compensate. This also raises the point where you hit fuel cut since the ECU sees less air flow (lower frequency Hz)."
rest of it--> http://www.roadraceengineering.com/newafc.htm

any ideas guys???

thanks MardisGras,

i have an SX pump rite now. do you know how i can find out the specs on that? also, my electronic fuel press gauge no work anymore.....do you know how can i check the sender unit? its 3 wire.

oh, what we do for friends/customers and alot of people do as well is with larger injectors you basically lean it out on idle so you dont run too rich. You need to tune all this crap. I heard from few people that the AFC doesnt work for the Max....

Sorry, I dont know about the SX. What type of gauge is it thats broken? I have the Autometer Short Sweep 0-100psi, You can check it by testing for resistance from the sender terminal to the ground terminal.
