How many of you remember this? >

The first grand daddy of them all maxima meet.
Everyone who attended this meet:
1. You must have an new mod or even a new car by now (Jim W, Jeff K and I do: )
share what you've done to your max since that meet
2. How many of you are still on this bbs?
3. When are we gonna do something that big again!? (Maxus 2K1?)
After that meet I tinted my windows, got a 12 disc changer, Cool Blues, did the "cheap mod",
traded in the car for a 2k with cone intake, fstb, 12 disc changer, rims, tint, clears, and more cool blues 9003 this time.
If your car is in this pic and you STILL haven't given me your name to put over your car, its not TOO late...you're car doesn't look that bad j/k

MegaMax in '98 looked like this
<A HREF=http://integra.vtec.net/geeser/megamax/NJ_meet.html>Meadowlands Picutres</A><BR>I am the first car in the bottom right corner.
<IMG SRC=http://integra.vtec.net/geeser/megamax/images/M/M3.jpg>
Here is a better picture from the Philly meet 2 months later.
<A HREF=http://integra.vtec.net/geeser/megamax/images/5_22/MegaMax.jpg>MegaMax in '98</A>
I only had a few parts because there wasn't that many parts available yet. H&R springs(original shock), HKS muffler(used) and IMPO custom intake.
Over the next two years I added, rims/tires, Tokico shock, rear strut bar, rear sway, polished parts, cold air, GReddy and ECU. I got hooked on drag racing, wanted to go faster everytime I went. I think I did ok over the years making people aware of the maxima and what it could do at the track.
Now I have a 2001 maxima and the sky is the limit on what to do to it. Everyone is personalizing there maximas and I won't have to try as hard because the car came with a good
amount of aftermarket items already...ground effects, 17s and aftermarket pedal and shift ****. I think I'm ahead of the game.

Re: hey! i'm in the pic!! hehe
LOL. Under 30 old farts
Looks like you've done alot to your max since that meet...
I think Jim's meet put a spark in lots of owners minds to modify and now it has spread all over the country the idea of maxima meets and sharing mod info.
Its cool to read about what Megamax had and see it before it became the low 14 sec max! Very nice reply Jeff!
You're right about the 20th AE being very aftermarketish already...I the wifes car only waited a year to die I might have been in a 20th AE Lemme know if you ever get tired of your body kit. I bet a black kit on my silver max would look gr8!

WOW!!! That was a blast from the past--->
The only mods StealthMax had at that time was the 16's and Clear corners and STB (notice the HUGE wheel gap there)
I still think that will be the largest Max meet in history. There was something like 62 Max's and about 15 "interlopers" that showed up that day.
The shop we went to afterwards sold 18 sets of Tokico's to us.. Myself included. Ithink we paid $280 per set..
Those were the days...
Methinks It's time to throw another "MegaMeet", maybe I can combine Max's and Audi's..
Anybody in for it, say spring '01??

Stillen should have a sister company on the east side with a yearly meet
ants...Jim would be the guy to talk to for a meet of that size. I only attend them
The drive to the performance shop afterwards was gr8, another record # of maxima on one stretch of highway!
Did anyone get a movie of the chaos at the shop? Imagine a 2 way four lane road with a middle lane to make your turns.
The shop was on a very busy road like that and the shop had a bout a dozen parking spots with some of them filled up when we got there. about 3/4's of us ended up parking accross the street at the boston market were some of us ended up eating at. Guess what the girl working at boston market drove? A max of course so we told her about our club and got a new member that day

Steve brought that Philly attitude to the NY meet and that incident was talked about for the rest of the week.
I have pictures that I am going to upload to my site in a
few minutes, they are pictures of the Boston Market parking lot full of maximas. We took up one entire side, back corners and four other parking spaces...~25 maximas total.
Will let everyone know when they are up.

Back then I didn't have my xoom account and my geocities couldn't hold all of it so andi B let me put the pics on maxima.org when he was the admin. Did any one copy all the pics my website when it was up back then?

Giants Stadium video tape.......Guess what I have on tape?...
I have video of the meet. I taped everyone coming out of the parking lot. It was quite awesome. If anyone wants a copy, just send me an email. Peter, did I give you copy of the Giants Stadium meet? I think I did when we did the Philly meet at Steve's place. Nice memories......All I had at that meet were clear corners, STB and Stillen intake.
I rode in Matt P.'s car in the parking lot with every bolt-on possible. We were hitting corners at over 60 mph in the parking lot. Needless to say I was sold on springs and the RSB and bought them right after the meet. Wow...
