NOS and the UPRD ECU
I had called Rich to check on how they were planning on working out the ECU for NOS use. The avdanced timing curve that a modified ECU runs off of is not compatable with NOS, it will cause detonation. Here is Rich's reply.
"About the nitrous programming. On that ecu, there is physically not enough room left in the EP-ROM to contain a separate fueling map. The boards were made with only one ROM socket as well. The only solution I could give you would be 2 roms, and switch them when you think you will need to use the nos. That doesn't do you much good on the fly, but we could work you a program for track days (or NOS street days, as you see fit
Make a quick release on the ecu, and velcro it shut....... heh same time factor as having to get out and turn on the bottle by hand."
An interesting solution. Any thoughts...

If you willing to pay, I'm sure they can make you a board that can hold two EP-ROM. Come on, having you to switch ROM. That will take aleast 5 mins and think about danger of handling roms. One static shock you can kiss the rom good bye. What you need is a board that can house two ROMs and a switch of some sort that ties to your Nitrous on/off switch. That would be cool. Flip the switch on and it use the Nitrous only fuel/ignition map. Flip the switch off and it use the NA fuel/ignition map.

Here is a wild thought
Have 2 ROMs and maybe a toggle switch to go b/t the 2 when needed. Write a program that will go to one board when a toggle switch is in the "on" position, go to the other board when the toggle switch in is the "off" position. Crazy idea, but hey that would be cool. Might up the price but what can you do?
If you need a solution NOW, JWT does have a setup available. 65shot NOS.... with JWT ECU control it should yield more than 65hp. (a different motor, but still a Nissan is Sport Compact Car's Project 200SX SE-R, which made much more than 80hp with a JWT 80shot NOS and JWT ECU...)
jwt doesn't have 96+ ecus.

JWT - I have a 98
I dont know if it will work b/c I have a digital odometer. I had talked to JWT and they said it might work, but that it could cause my check engine light to come on, and the odometer feature might cause problems, and if it didnt work I couldnt return it. JWT is very unresponsive to phone calls and e-mails, their techs are short with you and will not spend time to answer your questions in detail. They aparently have decided that the Maxima aftermarket does not seem to be profitable enough for them to service. I dont want to give my buisness to JWT because they dont know WTF customer service is, sad but true.

yeah they suck!
