I just use my fingernails, usually my thumb, and it works great... may take a little time but it works!

Im talking about the wax residue that is left on the edges of the pinstripe....on the car.

I had the exact same problem and do you want to know what I did? I removed my pinstriping!
It's probably one of the best mods I've done for my Maxima! I hated those stripes. Most Maximas have nice stripes, but mine were ugly.
