Nissan's October Car Care Month

I remember someone posted something like this about Nissan's free inspection invitation. Well, I got mine today. I guess it's true. I don't think they going to find anything wrong. However, since it's a free inspection, I'm like there dude.

Just make sure they don't steal the quarters you left in the car.

But have fun though

I had to call the dealer here for other reasons and asked if they were doing the inspection and they said yes. So I am scheduled for Oct. 27. My dealer only works the last Sat. of the month and that was the only time I could get out there. I didn't get a letter either so go ahead and call them.

Ok, if you think there is something really wrong with your car, then the free inspection sounds good.

But if your car is running fine, do you really want to lose it for an entire day for an inspection that will find nothing wrong? That time is better spent doing something else...like washing the car, going for a jog, or sleeping in.

To make matters worse, the dealer may recommend all sorts of unnecessary repairs, and all those people who got the free inspection will come back here and post about how the dealer is a scam, etc...

I have no problem bringing and leaving my car at the dealer for an inspection because I only live 5mins from the dealer. I don't think there's anything wrong with the Max, but I'm no mechanic, so I'm not completely certain that there's nothing wrong with my car.

I received the card a few days ago and so far I'm not so interested in going. Also I had my car 30K serviced a few months ago. I'm not a mechanic either but my first feeling tells me there is nothing wrong with the car.

they list lots of services

I went last year for a free oil change and at 3000 miles they reccommended a whole list of services like tranny fluid change! at 3000 miles. They did lubricate the door hinges for free.
