hey man

i was wondering how you like the clutchmasters StageIII clutch? how is the pedal feel? does it grip well and does it chatter? lastly what kinda mods are you running? sorry for the questions, really appreciate it. Lyt97SC and myself are in search of clutches that will hold up to at least 300-375hp. Thanks alot!

I like it alot. There is no chatter, and the pedal feel is slightly firmer then stock. The only complaint I have about it is that there is no dead spot in the pedal. What I mean is that when you push a stock clutch to the floor, there is a point where the clutch gets easier to push, and ultimately you can hold it to the floor without any effort. The StageIII doesn't have that, its just constant pressure all the way to the floor, which makes waiting at a long light somewhat tiresome. As far as grip, this clutch doesn't slip. Period. I am not sure about how it will slip when under boost, but when I speed shift at the track, I can get a little chirp going into 3rd. Not very loud or noticable, just *barely* breaking traction. My friend has the Centerforce dual friction, and its also a good clutch kit. His almost feels stock, but it doesn't grip as well as mine. As far as mods, they're all in my sig. All I have is a high flow intake, the clutch kit, a Stillen Aluminum Flywheel, which is actually a Mueller Fabricator's flywheel, and GC coil-overs. I am planning on getting full exhaust as soon as I can pay off some more debts.

You hold you clutch in at stop lights. Of course it gets tiresome.

Try putting the car in nuetral when you wait at a stop light. It is ALOT less tiring and less stressful on your clutch.

That's what I do. I was just saying tht there isn't a "dead spot" on the clutch at the floor. When you're staging at the track, you get tired of holding the clutch steady while the idiot in the other lane tries to figure out what he's doing!
