Pic of my Max with Intrax, smoked bumper signals, front lip, 16" K1s

Looks good Dave. I have been wondering what your Max looks like for the longest time.
For some reason, the In-Trax doesnt look like it dropped it that much. Maybe its just the angle of the shot. I know with my In-Trax, the rear sat really low & the front looked jacked up. So i went to GC's.
BTW-How do you like the Kosei K1's? I have been thinking about getting them. They are light correct?

Synki-
It's probably the angle of the shot. I've got 1.2" gap in the back and about 1.8" gap in the front. The K1s with tires weigh about 38lbs or about 3lbs lighter than the stock 15" SE combo. It's great not having to change out rims when I go the track.
Russ-
All FWD cars have larger front wheelwells. The Intrax springs actually make the Maxima level, the Sprints and other makes bring up the rear to make it look even. I wanted my car be lower than what the Suspension Techniques springs did. My Intrax springs took the car down 1" in the rear and .5" in the front. I love the look. Don't forget that most BMWs sit lower in the rear too. My car feels like it handles exactly the same with the Intrax vs the STs even with my alignment being all jacked up (light steering, too much toe-in). I've already had people in the back of the car and I didn't bottom out. If they do start to sag and such in the future, it will probably be time to sell the car anyways (WRX wagon is next).

Intrax are notorious for becoming crap after a few months, if that didn't happen, I'd be surprised. I have to agree, it sets the car down really nicely, something my H&Rs don't quite do. Sweet ride though, looking good!

I am not sure what you guys are talking about, I have the Intrax springs and absolutely love them. The ride is a little rough, but other than that they are great. They give the car a really aggressive stance and handle like a dream.

Looking good Dave! I want to get some springs lower than my H&R's, but I bottom out already in the parking garages of Seattle, and I go to the snow in the winter... Oh well.

looks sweet!
Please, oh please tell me how you did the tinting.
I tinted my rear lights with VHT "Nightshade"
and was only sorta happy with the results.
It made them dark to the level I wanted
but they ended up matt.
Yours look nice and glossy - what did you do?
And did you do any sanding between coats?
I was thinking of spraying a gloss coat on top
but I was afraid it would react badly with the tint paint
and/or possibly craze the plastic of the lenses.
If you used a gloss spray, what brand was it?
I wanted to do my front clears too,
but after my dissapointment with the rear, well...
Thanks

How dark are they tinted?
Were you pulled over for anything else and given another ticket "just 'cause"?
How much was the ticket?
What was the statute or the law or whatever that you violated?
Are you going to switch back, or just drive with your fingers crossed?

Now I have to correct the "improper and unsafe equipment" and show a sheriff's office that i actually did it. I will only be paying a $9 processing fee if i fix it all within 30 days, otherwise it was $60, i was also cited for hoodlights, and side markers that were not amber...........

$9 aint bad, but still a pain to put em back the way they were.
$60 makes it an expensive mod...
So, you going to move to another state?

I've already been pulled over, but it wasn't for my taillights. It was for having a smoked plate cover. I've had my tails painted for over two years. I can honestly say that nearly all the light shows thru (95%) when you hit the brakes, turn signals, and reverse. Look at the pic below. The pic was taken in broad daylight. Don't forget that the 3rd gen RX7 has black taillights and so do some Jettas and Grand Prixs. I'm against taillight covers because those do hinder light and is a safety issue.
I used the taillight spray from www.autodynamic.com. The paint is semi-gloss, but I could easily wet sand it and spray some gloss on to get a real glossy finish.
I've got my Hellas removed because I wanted to see what it look like with open vents. I kinda like it. It looks cleaner.

Thats what i was trying to tell the cop and i will try and tell the sheriff's office, a 91 se max already comes with tinted tails. Even the tint i sprayed on allows the light to go right through it..........

I've been thinking about smoking my signals for a while now...
Do you think it would help our case with the cops if we replaced the bulbs with higher wattage models? If we get pulled, we can tell the cop to look at how bright our lights are, even with the tint.
I just can't remember who sells the high-watt signal and brake lights at the moment.
