Re: Mirror Tint legal?

if you can't see into the car, it's probably illegal.

how about lets say putting 35% black tint and adding a very light mirror tint over that to get a little shine? is that safe?

I have a 20% mirror tint and its harder to see in the car in the day time than in the night time. at night you can see right in. its when the sun hits it that its reflective and then you cant see in.

the only thing that is illegal in california is having your front windows tinted ie drivers window, passenger window, and windshield.

i dont know for a fact, but many cars come stock with color tint so I dont see how they could enforce it. I've read on various sites the tint laws in california and none of them mention anything about color tint. maybe its just enforced sometimes...I'll let you know when I get pulled over tho

How does the 35% on the mirror tint look? Is it scratch resistant? Life time warranty?

Thanks

how much does it cost to mirror tint all 4 windows since i normally always have the drivers window down so it shouldnt matter that much? and is a mere 30% tint a good tint shade? thanks

Each state has it's own laws for window tint. It varies quite a bit. Another factor is the type of vehicle.

Most states issue laws for % of visibility on front windows and rest of the vehicle separately for passanger cars.
SUV's tend to have no limit on windows aft the front windows.

Each state's laws are published annually.

I know the place I went to does a really good job. it cost me $240 for a 20% mirror on all 7 windows plus the sun roof.

it is very illegal in kali...mainly cause u can't see through it...but also cause it reflects sunlight in driver's eyes at the right angle...like if u have mirror tint, and u drive on the freeway right next to a van...u can see the sun shining off the mirror tint onto the van...it's pretty crazy...this is what happens every time i drive next to a car...the other driver looks over and then gets shined on by the sunlight...i've actually made a couple swerve a little bit...just drive with windows down if you don't wanna get caught
