215 KM = the roof peeling off my f#cking car.

i was driving down the high way tonight at 2:00 am and seeing how there was no one on the road i gunned it. coming up on 215 km an hour i heard a BOOM THUD THUD THUD.i thought it i blew a tire, then i thought i had hit a bird but the sound stoped there was nothing on the windsheild. so i pull over and get out looking at my car i look at the tires then the back lights.and notcie nothing so im getting back in my car when i notice my new'antenna'. the black strip of metal that runs across the top of your windsheild had peeled off and was hanging on there barely.i put duct tape on it and drove home. then i put it back in its place but its really loose. and it seems as if it just folded on this one point. this is the strangest thing thats ever happend to me.this happen to anyone else?

..

That's just nissan's way of keeping people from going that fast. If you go that fast, your roof peels off.

My first Car was a POS 351 81 Ford LTD (last year they offered the 351 wedge in anything but the polic package on LTD's).... hauled *** but it had this problem. My Grandparents had owned it previous to me and they had decided to install a vinyl top on the thing. Well being the dumb 16 year old that I was .... I drove my age.... way too fast.

The funniest part was doing 90 on a backroad (speedometer was maxed out... it only went to 85) All of a sudden there was this huge BOOM. It sounded like had blown the tire from hell. The car also became very unstable, and started to slow down drastically. I jumped out and noticed the vinyl top had come loose at the front and was acting like a giant parachute slowing my down. I had to drive home with the vinyl top making about a 2 foot bubble on the top of the car. When I got home I duct taped it...... When I traded in the car I got 200 bucks for it...... that was for the new tires.

It was nicknamed the Humpmobile. (no anti roll bars and the shocks were fried so you can imagine how it BOUNCED) Was decent quick in a straight line though.... Till the transmission died. Had 200000 miles on it.
