Lighting Questions

Can someone tell me if they make replacement bulbs for the interior lighting - front doors and 2 dome lights? I'm looking for a cool color - blue, purple, etc. Can you tell me where to find them?

Also, what brand of "super white" lighting for the headlights and foglights do you recommend? Also, where do I purchase these and what are the bulb #'s of the ones that work on a 2001 Maxima SE?

Thanks!

Yes they do make them... they are the ones that look like a 'fuse'... Unless you're going for 'mood lights' with the weird colors, i don't think they look good...

I got some reflective/mirrored film and covered the surfaces behind the light bulbs of the front and center domelights... It helped a lot.

Well you can find the ones for the step lights and possibly the dome light at pepboys or an autostore if you only looking for colored bulbs.

Now if you are looking for "super white", then you might have to go to a performance shop. Pepboys and most autostores are not completely into selling the superwhites, although some of them have. The step bulb # is a 194, or called a Wedge Bulb. The ones in the dome light are Torpedo bulbs, cause they look like little torpedos. Dont know the bulb# on that one.

Re: Re: Lighting Questions

We put the blue lights in my doors (the dome lights we bought were too long). The blue looks great in my car because mine is black/ black. But my hubby bought red lights (he has merlot w/ tan interior) he said the lights were pink - not red. Any suggestions on how to make it look red or another color that would look right with tan interior?

Thanks,
luvmymax

Yeah, that was me. I found the door ones at Advance Auto. The dome lights we bought were too long though. I think hubby has decided to go with blue, too. Can I put a #194 in my trunk, too? Now I just have to work on those headlights.....

THANKS!
